Youth Kids

For the past 3 months that I've been in Jersey, a handful of my students in youth group back home have called me on different occasions, whether it'd be because they wanted to just talk and update me on their life, or they wanted to hear about mine, or they were going through a heartbreak and needed consolation/advice or even just when they were sad and needed someone to listen to them cry. And really… its been so so so humbling. Can you believe it???? I live 2000+ miles away from these kids… yet I'm still someone they think about to turn to when they're going through different struggles or milestones in their life?? I know I haven't done the best job in keeping in touch with the little kiddies but I'm seriously so thankful and so blessed to have had them part of my life and continue to do so now.

I'm blown away by the fact that I'm someone they think about, and actually call in their time of need. Talk about humbling experience. I'm so thankful that I can be a part of these kids' lives even when I'm so far away and distant from them… man… if I love these kids, how much more must their parents love them, and man… how much more does that mean God loves them? These kids doesn't cease to teach me  more of God's love for us…

What a thankful night it is...
